Molly

Molly

Molly was a stray dog after Hurricane Michael hit the West Coast of Florida.  She tested positive for heartworms, so she underwent treatment and we believe she will be negative for late September.  This small 12 lb, 2-year-old girl has a strong fear of people.  We have been working on this diligently and she has come a long way, but the adopter must be patient.  Molly sleeps in her foster mom's bed and is very bonded with her as well as the regular folks she sees on a routine basis.  We would be ecstatic if Molly could find a calm, quiet, and loving home that she truly deserves. She is timid with all dogs larger than she is, so she'd be great as the only dog.  Her adoption fee is $225

Sophie loves playing with the other small dogs and pups in the rescue.  She's been spayed, chipped, vaccinated, and is current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.  Her adoption fee is $225

ALFIE

ALFIE

*This dog has a bite history and requires an experienced dog owner. Alfie was owned by one woman his entire life. When she passed away, her adult children did not want her. They contacted his Alfie's dog groomer who contacted me asking for help. While he has been with us, it is obvious that the owner did not correct his dominance and therefore, little Alfie thinks he's the Man of the House. Going for car rides is like a day at Disney for this cutie pie! The other dogs here have taught him how to be a model canine, but his history of biting has made him adoptable only to someone familiar with this type of behavior. Once he realizes he is not the leader, he's a very affectionate boy. Alfie has been neutered, vaccinated, and is current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Fees have been waived for this dog in hopes that we may find him a permanent home.

LILLY

LILLY

We are going to be extremely cautious and particular with who adopts our Little Miss Lilly. We pulled this 8 year old, 13 pound girl from Hernando County Animal Services on 2/20/19. The vet said that she had most likely been hit by a car 3 months to a year previously. We took her to a Tampa surgical specialist who took radiographs and agreed with the county vet and due to the length of lost time after the accident, she would not benefit from surgery. Rather than surgery, our rescue has taken Lilly to veterinarians who specialize in LASER therapy, acupuncture, and chiropractic therapy since March. These therapies have made Lilly more flexible and comfortable. She will require monthly LASER therapies. Lilly also enjoys going for walks in her wheelchair. She is a very affectionate and loving girl who is so deserving of a qualified adopter. Due to her medical issue, she cannot urinate on her own and her bladder must be expressed about 3 times daily. If you think you've got what it takes to bring our special little girl into your home, contact [email protected] to request an application to adopt. She will only be available to Hernando and surrounding counties. If a suitable home is not found, then she will stay with our loving rescue who cares deeply for this angel. We are not in any hurry.
